Canadian Suite Duo

Canadian Suite Duo and the Crow’s Nest Lounge on M.V. Oriana were a perfect fit. We enjoyed 44 cruises (Canaries, Baltic, Mediterranean, Caribbean & Channel Islands) and 3 World Cruises including the Millennium World Cruise where we celebrated the New Year in one of our favourite places - Madeira. We made many friends and still keep in touch. The age range of the passengers was 30 - 100 years. The oldest song we played was “I dreamt that I dwelt in marble halls” by Balfe (mid-1800s) and yes, we learned the Titanic theme song “My Heart Will Go On.” We especially enjoyed playing for the dancers both Rock ‘n Roll and Ballroom styles.

Stay tuned for future cruise dates.

What’s in a name?

The “Canadiana Suite” is one of our favourite Oscar Peterson albums. We were living in UK and just about to board M.V. Oriana for our first engagement with P&O Cruises. Our agent needed a name for our duo that had an international ring. “Canadian Suite Duo” just popped into my head.
